YAKSHA TALENT PIPELINE

From potential
to paid opportunity.

A proposed training-to-work pathway for underserved New Yorkers—connecting practical technology skills, supervised experience, and opportunities across Yaksha and a prospective employer network.

Enrollment is not open. Launch timing, eligibility, and pilot capacity will be announced after program design and funding arrangements are established.

A PROGRAM CONCEPT FOR SPONSORS & PARTNERS

Skills become valuable
when opportunity follows.

Yaksha’s goal is to connect instruction with the practical habits and supervised experience needed to enter technical work.

The challenge we want to address.

Completing training and becoming ready for a professional environment are different milestones. Our proposed pathway would help participants practice troubleshooting, documentation, customer communication, and sound judgment in realistic technical settings.

We intend to focus on New Yorkers facing barriers to employment, including people who need access to practical experience, equipment, professional networks, or support to sustain participation. Eligibility and recruitment would be developed with community and workforce partners.

The role Yaksha can develop.

Yaksha Consulting LLC is a veteran-owned New York technology services business. Its contribution would be an industry perspective on field services, user support, infrastructure work, and the expectations of professional service delivery.

We seek to develop the program with experienced training and community organizations, prospective employers, and public or private sponsors. Curriculum delivery, participant support, program administration, and employer commitments would be assigned through that partnership design.

The intended destination is a broader employment pathway.

Participants would prepare for suitable opportunities with Yaksha and other employers. The program is being designed around demonstrated readiness and employer demand; paid assignments and employment would depend on available opportunities and the relevant selection process.

PROPOSED LEARNING-TO-WORK MODEL

Learn it.
Practice it. Apply it.

The stages below are a proposed framework. Curriculum, assessment criteria, delivery format, and duration will be developed for a defined pilot.

  1. 01

    Build the foundation.

Introduce device and operating-system fundamentals, connectivity, service professionalism, documentation, and responsible use of AI tools. Establish safe information-handling habits from the start.

Proposed evidence: foundational knowledge checks and guided task completion.
  2. 02

    Practice realistic work.

Use lab assignments to prepare equipment, investigate common support issues, follow instructions, record findings, and communicate a clear handoff. AI assistance would complement verification and technical understanding.

Proposed evidence: reviewed lab work and a practical task portfolio.
  3. 03

    Develop supervised experience.

Progress into structured, supervised assignments when readiness, agreements, and suitable opportunities permit. Define the supervisor, authorized tasks, participant protections, and compensation arrangements before any placement.

Proposed evidence: supervisor feedback and demonstrated workplace competencies.
  4. 04

    Connect to paid opportunities.

Support preparation for interviews, suitable paid project work, or employment with participating employers. Continue gathering feedback to understand progression and where additional support is needed.

Proposed evidence: separately tracked paid assignments, employment transitions, and follow-up outcomes.

BUILD THE PROGRAM TOGETHER

Different strengths.
A shared pathway.

We are seeking conversations with organizations that can help shape and support the pilot. The roles below are proposed; this page does not announce established partnerships.

PUBLIC & WORKFORCE PARTNERS

Connect the opportunity.

Help assess regional workforce needs, identify suitable funding pathways, introduce qualified training partners, and clarify program and reporting requirements.

TRAINING & COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Make participation possible.

Help develop instruction and assessments, recruit through trusted community relationships, and plan support for barriers such as transportation, connectivity, or caregiving.

EMPLOYER PARTNERS

Define work that matters.

Validate job requirements, review practical tasks, and explore mentorship, interviews, or suitable paid placements. Opportunity volume and commitments would be confirmed before launch.

FUNDING & RESOURCE SPONSORS

Help establish the pilot.

Explore planning support, equipment, instructional resources, participant assistance, and evaluation capacity within an agreed budget and funding structure.

PROPOSED ACCOUNTABILITY

Measure progress.
Learn what works.

These are proposed measures, not reported results or promised targets. Definitions, follow-up periods, and reporting responsibilities would be agreed before the pilot.

Participation & completion

Track enrollment, attendance, completion, and reasons for leaving, with clear cohort counts and denominators.

Demonstrated readiness

Review practical assessments, documentation quality, professional communication, and supervisor feedback against defined criteria.

Paid work & progression

Distinguish paid assignments from employment placements. Record relevant role, hours, compensation, and progression information where available and appropriate.

Retention & participant experience

Plan follow-up to understand sustained employment, employer feedback, participant experience, and unmet support needs.

CURRENT STATUS

A clear concept.
A pilot to develop.

Program development is the current stage. The next work is to establish partners, validate demand, and turn the concept into a feasible operating plan.

New York workforce funding context

ESD’s workforce programs emphasize employer participation, participant supports, and measurable outcomes. Some programs also require an established training track record. Yaksha’s eligibility and any applicant or delivery partnership must be assessed against the specific funding opportunity.

QUESTIONS FROM PROSPECTIVE PARTNERS

Before we build together.

Is this an operating training program?

It is a program in development. Enrollment, instruction, placements, and launch timing will depend on the agreed pilot design, partner readiness, and funding arrangements.

Will participants be guaranteed a job?

No. The goal is to build a credible pathway toward paid technical work. Progression and opportunities would depend on demonstrated readiness, employer demand, and the applicable hiring or assignment process.

Is this a registered apprenticeship or an accredited credential?

No registered apprenticeship, accreditation, or credential authorization is claimed for this proposed program. Any credential or formal training partnership would be identified after it is established.

What can a sponsor do now?

Help scope the pilot, introduce training or community partners, validate employer demand, identify a suitable funding pathway, or discuss prospective resource support. The first conversation should clarify the proposed contribution and next decisions.
